Bidirectional connections between shapefiles, databases, spreadsheets, and your SewerCAD model help you make changes to your model as your source data changes.

SewerCAD’s sanitary loading features help you to accurately estimate dry and wet weather contributions to the collection system.

The LoadBuilder™ module included in SewerCAD helps engineers allocate sewer loads based on a variety of GIS-based sources such as customer water use billing data, area-wide flow measurement, or polygons with known population or land use.

Use customizable unit load libraries for estimation based on contributing population, service area, and total dry weather discharge or build your own loading types. Select from pre-defined extreme flow factor methods, including Babbit, Harmon, Ten State, and Federov’s, or implement your own.

You can also determine infiltration based on pipe length, diameter, surface area, length-diameter, or user-defined data and manage multiple flow hydrographs for Extended Period Simulations.

Control of gravity and pressure hydraulics

Analyze pressure or free surface flow conditions using SewerCAD's robust algorithm* for solving for subcritical, critical, supercritical conditions, and complex composite profiles.

Run steady-state analyses to evaluate your designs under extreme flow conditions, while extended period simulations help you visualize how the system behaves over time, helping you locate hydraulic jumps and surcharging sections. Simulate real-time controls with SewerCAD turning pumps on and off based on time, flows, pressures, and wet well levels, among other criteria.

You can choose from different friction methods like Manning, Kutter, Darcy-Weisbach, and Hazen-Williams and calculate structure headloss with a variety of methods including FHWA HEC-22 and AASHTO.
